Prof. Pomodoro has held numerous prestigious positions:
Member of the Board of Directors of Intesa Sanpaolo since 2016, she is also the Chair of the Nomination Committee. She graduated in Law from the University of Bari, entered the judiciary in 1965, and has served as a Judge and Deputy General Prosecutor at the Court of Appeal in Milan, Public Prosecutor at the Court for Minors in Milan, Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Justice, President of the Court for Minors in Milan, and President of the Milan Court. She has also been the Vice President of the Provincial Tax Commission of Milan, a member of the Board of Directors of Il Sole 24 ORE and the University of Milan-Bicocca, as well as the Vice President of the Internationalisation Advisory Board of Banca Prossima. In January 2018, she was awarded the UNESCO Chair “Food Systems for Sustainable Development and Social Inclusion” established at the State University of Milan. In 2019, she was appointed by the Archbishop of Milan as the Diocesan Contact for the Protection of Minors. Currently, she is a Board Member of Febo, former President of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, President of the non-profit cultural association “Spazio Teatro No’hma Teresa Pomodoro”, a member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Touring Club. She is also a member of the Board of the Sodalitas Foundation, and the Strategic Advisory Board of Nextalia SGR. In 2013, she received the Merit Diploma of the School of Culture and Art and was awarded the Knight of the Legion of Honor. In 2015, she was appointed by the President of the Republic as a Knight of the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
